Ice Castles of New Hampshire

Whether you’re a resident of northern New Hampshire, visiting for a long weekend or need a break from the slopes everyone needs to add the Ice Castles to their bucket list. Located at 64 Railroad St in Lincoln, New Hampshire the Ice Castles is a must-see tourist attraction for all ages.

The Ice Castles, LLC is a Utah-based entertainment company who specializes in events crafted from ice. Not from the New England area? No worries the company has four other locations based in Utah, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Canada.

Yesterday, my boyfriend and I made the journey up to New Hampshire to experience this unique attraction. We bought tickets ahead of time allowing us to skip the lines and start exploring the castle.

From the outside, the castle looks small, but probably fits around 300 people at a time! Many people were taking photos, pulling their kids on sleds and exploring the caves and tunnel’s created by this man-made ice castle.

My favorite addition to the castle was the hot coco shack located inside the castle that served hot chocolate, sticky buns and cookies all under $5. We also tested out the toboggan  slide, which was popular among young and old alike!

Overall my boyfriend and I spent a little over an hour at the ice castle and would recommend going at least once. If you have kids this is the place to take them as they have characters from Disney’s Frozen making appearances. We also recommend you buy tickets ahead of time, dress warm, wear warm boots as the ground is very icy. Not looking to make the drive for only an hour attraction? Plan to spend the whole day in the Lincoln – Conway area.

The New Hampshire Ice Castles are open daily Monday – Friday 3 PM – 9 PM, Saturday from noon – 10 PM and Sunday from noon – 8 PM.
